Neck health: For muscular neck symptoms, start out with heat and anti-inflammatories (if tolerated). Light massage is also helpful. After symptoms settle down, engage regular stretching and strengthening to prevent recurrence and to support spinal muscular strength and health. Since it happens after waking up, make sure you are not using too many pillows. If this does not help, see a medical evaluaiton.
