Rest and recover: I would do a few basice things first: rest the wrist (ie no exercise and don’t do things that hurt), ice for 20 minutes several times per day, and take ibuprofen or Tylenol. It may also be helpfult to wear a removable wrist brace for a couple of days. If the pain persists or or doesn’t improve after several days, then I’d see your physician

Ice: ice, elevation, behavioral modification splinting and anti inflammatories all may help. If no improvement seek care with hand surgeon and obtain x rays
