? fever: Is there a true fever precipitating these episodes? If so an infectious or even carcinoid could be the cause. If no true fever occurs I would consider it a vagus nerve reaction to some type of event that causes you to flush and feel warm or hot. If this symptom occurs often I recommend a general examination by your physician who may then refer you to an appropriate specialist.
