Get evaluated: Although many consider acne a simple ritual of passage in the teen years, it can and does affect some men and women into their thirties or later. Proper care requires an in person skin evaluation. A written daily plan that allows you to increase/decrease treatment modalities based on daily variations is something you should plan with your doc/derm.

See dermatologist: There are so many new and excellent treatments out now for acne, no one should be afflicted by it anymore. Adult acne is a bit more difficult to treat, and it's not going to just go away in a few years , as teen acne usually does. The most appropriate treatment for your type of acne is a very individual thing - thus the need for a dermatologist to examine you, the cane's characteristics, etc.
