Hand/foot pain: There are many possible causes of hand or foot pain, including: Inflammation. Swelling of the joints, muscle, or tissue can occur in the hands and feet either because of injury or because of inflammatory disorders like arthritis, or Nerve damage. A general physical exam can be useful in determining if there is any neurological dysfunction or other underlying cause for the symptoms.
