A member asked:

I was prescribed bactrim and ustell together by my urologist. i see there is a major interaction between the 2 drugs. it can form crystals in your urine. i'm taking bactrim for 3 months for a uti. shoud i risk taking the 2 together?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Interactions: Bactrim is an antibiotic. Ustell is NOT an antibiotic, it is used to relieve pain due to urinary tract infections. If you are not in pain you can probably forego the Ustell. Speak to your urologist.
