I have severe upper back pain for 3 weeks now. pain is close to spine , middle of shoulder blades. i started taking ibuprofen 400mg since saturday ,morning and evening. pain when leaning forward. nothing when in an upright position. kindly advise?

Severe pain: I assume there has been no injury . Nevertheless, severe back pain for 3 weeks warrants an investigation including an xray of your dorsal vertebrae. A compression fracture or other spinal pathology are possibilities. I recommend seeing your physician or an orthopedic specialist for the evaluation.
