Exercise: Exercise will burn calories, and together with a healthy, balanced, low caloric diet will allow you to lose weight uniformly throughout your body. The key to losing weight is burning more calories than you ingest. Walking alone may not be enough... you may have to run on the treadmill for 30 minutes or longer.
