A member asked:

Can you get tested for blood clots without using contrast dye? ive had two different contrast dyes within a month and would rather not put more in my body?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Location of clots?: If you think you may have blood clots in legs, Doppler ultrasound tests are very accurate & use no contrast. For clots in other locations a noncontrast CT scan might suffice
