I am currently taking metoprolol tartrate, 25 mg, once a day. my dr. took me off of amlodipine besylate 5 mg. i have been having intense pain at night in the back of my neck that radiates to my whole neck and head. my blood pressure increases?

Twice daily: Metoprolol tartrate is a twice daily drug, while the succinate form is once daily. Talk to your doctor about this, and get your BP checked out of the physician’s office Several times for a better indicator of your true pressure, as the AHA/ACC recommends. Best to you!
