I was due to have my wisdom tooth out by general snasthetic but they didn't do it something to do with my sinuses?

IV Sedation: If you need or want something more than local anesthesia (and "sweet air") for the removal of your wisdom teeth, ask about IV sedation which is more than enough to keep you comfortable and should be fine regardless of any sinus issues. They rarely use general anesthesia any more for removal of wisdom teeth.

Upper wisdom teeth: Some upper wisdom teeth roots may be close to or even into the sinus cavity. The dentist would likely be able to see this on an x-ray. Problems could arise when extracting these types of teeth.
