A member asked:

What does it mean when it say no f wave response of right peroneal nerve in nerve conduction study? what further tests have to be done?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

F wave: Usually for foot/hand muscles, it is a small part of a fullelectodiagnostic test that studies electrical response to a nerve right after the main motor response wave (from being very stimulated), representing a rebound electrical response in the nerve, backwards up to the spinal cord. When compared to the motor wave by ratios, certainly aspects of nerve slowing can be found. Full exam is needed.
