A member asked:

I think im showing signs of bacterial vaginosis. any way to confirm? and can i find over the counter treatment for it ?

Bacterial vaginosis: The only way to confirm diagnosis of bacterial vaginosis is: see a provider to do speculum exam and wet mount. One needs to see 3 out of the 4: 20% or more clue cells, pH greater 4.5, foul smell after KOH and a white dc. The treatment is an antibiotic. There is no over the counter medication. One needs a prescription. Best thing to do is to see a provider for definitive diagnosis and treatment.
