No damage expected: From high school age through adulthood, the recommended daily intake of vitamin C is about 75-100 mg each day, which a person can get from eating a couple of oranges. Many people take vitamin C supplements, at about 250-500 mg each day, and have to side effects at that dosage. If wanting to take more than that, one can talk with his doctor to see why such supplementation is needed or not needed.
