I have had hives for about a month now. they show up randomly anywhere on my body. more recently, they are accompanied by extreme rashes that turn white to the touch. could this be simply allergies or an indication of something more serious?

Hives: Hives are urticaria. Chronic idiopathic urticaria and chronic spontaneous urticaria are not triggered by identifiable factors. is rarely a sign of another underlying disease. Inducible urticaria — Urticaria can be triggered by physical stimuli, such as heat, cold, pressure applied to the skin, exercise, water, vibration, and sunlight.
