39 weeks or beyond: Unless there is a medical indication, (fetal growth restriction, oligohydramnios, high blood pressure, kidney disease, chorioamnionitis), most Dr's will not induce until the 39th week. Because Induction carries additional risk to the mother and Baby, it is not typically advisable to have elective induction.
