A 41-year-old male asked:

My pt is 12.7 and pt inr is 1.0. a day before the test i took 2 low doze aspirin pills (81 each). how aspirin influenced the result and would it still be normal if i did not take aspirin which i do not take regularly. thanks?

See below: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, your results are not a cause for concern. Aspirin does not affect these tests. Wish you good health!
