Need to examine: Cannot be sure without examining you, but it is likely to be mucocele, a benign condition. If it persists or keeps recurring, it may need to be removed. Visit this site for info: https://www.webmd.com/oral-health/guide/mucocele-causes-symptoms-and-treatment#1

Lump: "Lump" is not a diagnosis. It's a description of a sign.Could be a ranula (mucocele), abscessed tooth, gum infection, neoplasm, or other conditions. The point is that you will actually need to be examined, perhaps imaged, perhaps lab tested, to determine diagnosis. Only then can proper treatment begin.
