34, ive noticed over the past few months that i sometimes say the wrong word or will confuse a name of people i know. i said hook instead of hawk today. ive been super stressed and anxious working at school during covid. could it be stress?

Stress: I do believe that your occasional misspeaking can be due to chronic stress and anxiety as you apparently don't exhibit other symptoms of cognitive dysfunction. Get help for your continual stress as it can lead to physical ailments. Ask your MD to refer you to a therapist for stress management therapy.

Reduce Stress: Stress may be a cause (although one can't say for certain). To reduce stress, you can aim for daily exercise, 8 hours of sleep per night & good nutrition w 5 servings of veggies & 4 of fruit per day. Try tai chi, yoga, Qi Gong, progressive muscle relaxation, deep breathing exercises & meditation.

With psychotherapy you can change & find better coping mechanisms for dealing with stress and with Depression that makes it hard to cope with stress. Medication can be helpful prescribed by a Psychiatrist.
