Likely rotovirus: It is hard to be sure but one of the most common causes of diarrhea in that age group is rotovirus. That & the smell of a kids stools on amoxicillin were some of the most pungent. Infants are offered an oral vaccine to prevent it, but many don't take it. Care is generally supportive but some will require hospital based IV hydration/care.
