Dilated capillaries: Dark circles under eyes can be due to lack of sleep, allergies and genetics. They are caused by dilated capillaries under the skin that reflect darker coloration. Treatment includes adequate sleep, cold packs to constrict blood vessels, moisturizers containing caffeine, vitamin E, aloe, hyaluronic acid, and/or retinol. A Dr can prescribe laser therapy, chemical peels & topical skin lightener.
