My period was 10 days late then had a brown 3 day period followed by weeks of brown discharge. non stop, everyday. i have never missed a period or had this discharge. this seems abnormal. any ideas as to what is happening? also cramping alot everyday?

Abnormal period: Since your menstrual cycle has been unusual for you with a missed period, it is important to rule out the things that could be significant. Not sure about your contraception, but pregnancy is on the list; an exam will help by your women's health provider. Sometimes, your ovary will not put an egg and it can throw your cycle off schedule, but above needs to be done first by your provider.

Abnormal bleeding: The brown discharge is likely old blood being cleaned out of the uterus. You said the discharge was non-stop - but it isn't clear how long that has lasted. Please consult with your primary medical care provider or your gynecologist.
