Yes: Unless you are planning to get pregnant, your doctor can prescribe you a contraceptive that can limit your periods to once a year. Get HPV vaccine Wish you good health!

Painful period: If you have a pattern of markedly painful periods - would definitely see gynecologist. In the meantime, NSAID’s, SSRI’s, hormone meds, OTC meds containing diuretics, warm bath, heating pad, exercise & acupuncture are excellent for dysmenorrhea. Avoid caffeine, chocolate, alcohol & salt may help.
