3 month cleanings: After scaling and root planing you will need to maintain good home care and have more frequent dental cleanings to help control your periodontal disease. Once stable you may be able to back to more regular cleaning intervals. The complete changes you mention are absolutely necessary to control the disease, and to prevent relapse. Normal: Normal has not worked for you. Instead concentrate on efficient/effective. Please start with a deep cleaning to remove any material that has been allowed to collect during Normal. Follow your Dentist's/Hygienist's new Oral Hygiene instructions to the letter, especially between teeth, and don't cheat. Have repeat Cleanigs as often as necessary to assure optimum health.
