Expansion pressure: As the ovarian cyst expands, pressure is applied to the pelvis creating pelvic pain. The enlarged ovary is like a "tether" ball on a string(ligament) swinging back and forth in the pelvis as well. Pain is a sign that something in your body is "amiss" and needs evaluation.
