No: Angular cheilitis is caused by saliva in a deep crease of skin at the corner of the mouth. Usually the saliva gets there during sleep. Some of the irritation is due to enzymes in saliva. Much of the irritation is due to yeast and staph bacteria in the saliva. Try otc Miconazole or Clotrimazole in corners of mouth several times a day, especially at bedtime. It is most common in people who have lost.
