A member asked:

I was supposed to get my period today (based on one of my period trackers) and all i got was a small blood clot no bigger than a sesame seed in my underwear. is this normal?

Depends: What you described may be normal variation in a period. Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you are having sex, do a home pregnancy test, if it is negative repeat it in 4-5 days. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time.
