A member asked:

Hello, i believe i have precordial catch syndrome, should the symptoms go away after working out for a couple of months once i'm used to working out?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

I bet you're right: Used to just be "the stitch". Common. This pathologist believes it's caused by the pleura folding over on itself, based on my experience that maximally inflating the lungs relieves it immediately. If this is knife-like and worst when your breathe in, you're called it right. If it ever really takes your breath away or otherwise doesn't seem trivial, see your physician. Glad you're working out.
