A member asked:

I usually experience pain and some bleeding on the anus when i pass stool. i had a operation on the anus back in 2004 after suffering from diarrhea and had sagging veins in the anal area?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Fissure?: Pain & bleeding with stool passage can be due to a tear called an Anal fissure, but also to several other causes. If stools are hard, extra fluids & fiber & possibly Miralax or a stool softener can help, along with sitz baths & topical hydrocortisone can help, but if symptoms persist you should see the surgeon who previously operated on you or one of their colleagues to re-examine the area
