Yes: Perfectly normal. You may experience some irregular bleeding while on Nexplanon. The bleeding you have for the first three months is likely predictive of the bleeding you may have for the duration of you Nexplanon.

Nexplanon ?"'s: Nexplanon is a progestin insert, and while it may have irregular effects on the regularity of menstruation, it will still be effective as a contraceptive agent. Whenever menstrual type bleeding occurs, pain may accompany it. If the bleeding continues, see your gyn physician for an exam.
