I have been using duac (benzoyl peroxide)for 6 days now stopped due to the patchyness of my skin tone it looks like hyperpigmentation which ive never had before,my skin darkened now its patchy is this temporary how do i fix it is it due from a burn?

Use benzoyl peroxide + clindamycin gel once at night, on blemishes & bumps, as prescribed by the doctor, woke up to dark spots in the area where the gel was applied, looks like hyperpigmentation. I dont have dark skin. Should I continue using?
