Hernia: There are many causes some more serious than others. You should see your personal physician. A hernia, food intolerance, constipation or drugs can cause this. Borborygmi is defined as hyperactive bowel sounds.

Could: Borborygmi (loud gurgling) can occur from lots of causes, including partial obstruction, which could be seen with a hernia.

Not necessarily: There are multiple causes for borborygmi, & usually they are benign. I wouldn't worry about chronic loud abdominal noises - while socially embarrassing they are usually not a medical concern, & likely relate to diet.
