Bacterial vaginosis: No infection, STDs or any other, can start to cause symptoms in less than 24 hours. Preexisting BV is much more likely. Among other things, fishy vaginal odor more noticeable after sex is one the most common symptoms of BV. BV is often triggered by other STDs like gonorrhea, chlamyida, and trichomonas, so you could test positive. Good idea for both to be tested and share your results. Good luck!
