A member asked:

Is it possible to have an sti if i had only one sexual partner my whole life, and so did he? i have yellow discharge and itching there but he has no unusual symptoms. we had unprotected sex

Basics: STD's are transferred only from one infected person to another. In a fully monogamous relationship these do not occur. The vagina is a moist environment that is subject to other germ invaders that can cause a non-STD vaginitis. A visit for proper treatment would be reasonable.
