Virtual consult: A virtual consultation may be helpful. Feed the baby at a 30 degree angle, burp him mid and after a feeding. Nasal congestion may be due to reflux from the back of the throat to the nasal passages. If the baby has been ill frequently, screening for PCD, CF and an immune disorder may be indicated. If he has had pneumonia, also consider aspiration. A chest x ray is suggested and watch for apnea.
