I had a spectlum pelvic exam with a swab to test for infection. i'm currently 20 weeks pregnant.when dr took the spectlum out i saw a blob of mucous like substance. i didn't think at the time but now worried if it was mucous plug. any tests i can do?

Concerns: There is often mucus in the vagina of a pregnant woman. I would not think that the cervical mucus plug was removed.

Agree with Dr. F: It is very unlikely that the cervical mucus plug was disturbed and there are no tests to check for that anyway. Wish you good health and a healthy baby!
