A member asked:

Hi. i have a light brown bump on my leg that i have had for a couple of years now. i recall it appearing after i shaved my legs. but i'm sure it's not an ingrown hair. i just want to know what it could possibly be and if i should worry?

Probably ok: Would be helpful to see a pic of this spot to know what it is & whether it is any cause for concern. Most light brown bumps are going to be benign = non-cancerous, either a dermatofibroma, Nevus (mole), or seborrheic keratosis. That said, some brown bumps could be melanoma, a dangerous skin cancer. If it’s not growing or changing, I would be less concerned, but again, a pic/exam would help.
