Depends on cause: If you are bruxing it won’t stop until you use a night guard. If you have TMJ it won’t stop til you have therapy for, that diagnosis. If you have an infected tooth, it won’t stop til that is pulled or treated. In other words, until we get a proper diagnosis, we can’t predict time to a cure. See a dentist for an exam. Good luck

Immediately to never: Depends on the cause of your pain. The only way to find out what's causing your pain is to see a Dentist. The only thing we can do , given the sparse information you provided, is guess...not recommended. If you want to wait and see if then pain goes away by itself, your choice. But if symptoms persist for 2 weeks, don't wait any longer. see your Dentist.

Depends on Cause: What is the cause of your pain? TMJ? Dental infection? Pulled muscle? If an infection or TMJ issues, you'll need to see a dentist for an evaluation since these things do not heal on their own.
