Several types: Vaginal discharge can be caused by several types of infections in sexually active women. Yeast infections cause discharge but usually significant itching as well. Trichomonas is usually a yellow discharge; bacterial vaginosis is often grayish with fishy odor. Dr exam can help differentiate because treatments are different.
