Ligaments: Abdominal cramps on sneezing or coughing is common. Most often it is the result of stretching muscles or the round ligament which in women holds the uterus. If you know that you are going to sneeze, cough, or laugh you can bend and flex your hips, which can reduce the pull on the ligaments. If the pain is more towards your pelvic floor, it might be a hernia and may need evaluation by a Dr.
