Unclear question: If by rigid you mean thickened nails, it is likely to be due to fungal infection. You may try an over the counter anti-fungal ointment. Your pharmacist should be able to advise. If that does not solve the matter in 3-4 weeks, you may need a prescription for an oral anti-fungal from your doctor.
