Infertility ?'s: Given your age (23) and that you are involved with an IVF program, the CT scan showing a "heterogenous" uterine pattern, may be consistent with adenomyosis, an endometrial invasion of uterine smooth muscle, a form of endometriosis. Adenomyosis, if present, may complicate your efforts for pregnancy, so IVF may be a good choice in this instance.

I had a CT scan done recently. It said There is nonspecific mild heterogeneous enhancement of the uterus. What does this mean in laymans terms? I am concerned on what it could mean.

Had a hysteroscopy, my gynae said everything looked normal apart from a very small sessile polyp at the entrance to the uterus. Could this have been confused with a cancerous tumour? I dont think it was removed at the time. Endometrialbiopsies taken?
