I recently came home from a 2 mile hike in warm weather around 82 degrees and my left temple felt numb, gradually, my left face became numb as well. i thought it was a stroke but i can fully raise my arms as well as smile. is this a sign of a stroke?

Numb face: For your age its highly unlikely a stroke. This could be early Bells Palsy - check in mirror if you face looks different - if it does get treatment.
