School nurse: The school nurse may coordinate his asthma action plan with his pediatrician or by inbox consult with pediatric pulmonology on Healthtap. It is important that there is a clear plan of action for his respiratory distress and asthma flare ups. His medications should be adjusted if his asthma is not well controlled. A controller medication includes an inhaled steroid twice daily. Avoid dust, mold.
