How safe would it be to take my dog to the vet if the staff came out to the car to get my dog - with masks on - and take her inside while i waited outside until she was done. am to the point of being paranoid about any potential covid exposure.

COVID concerns: If you are in the US- the majority of medical (to include veterinary) clinics that I am aware of have instituted policy changes to reduce risk of infectious disease transmission. I went to the dentist yesterday and felt pretty safe. I believe you are describing a relatively safe situation.
