Buttock pain: If the buttock pain quickly resolves after standing and being up and about, it is unlikely that you have bursitis. It may simply be muscular stiffness from sitting awhile and then standing. If you still have concerns, consult your physician or an orthopedic specialist for evaluation and advice.
