Usually requested: By employers in order to get clearance to return to work. Most cases will achieve negative status after 2 weeks of quarantine and providing they tested positive initially, with few remaining positive. If initial test negative following exposure, the second test may confirm lack of infection, while conversion to positive will have to be followed as for newly diagnosed cases.

Not necessary: It is not medically necessary to be tested after 14 day quarantine, if you did not have any symptoms. However, your employer may have different rules. A positive result does not necessarily mean that there is live virus. Wish you good health!
