Rhinosinusitis: I don't think the 2 are interrelated. The cause of this chronic nasal and paranasal sinus inflammation is usually not infectious and may be related to allergic reactions or even climate factors. Treatment starts with irrigation of nasal membranes with very clean warm salt water and then instilling corticosteroid nasal spray i.. Surgery to remove blockages may be needed. Antibiotics for infection.
