I've been coughing lately, then had sudden loss of smell and taste. i have occasional headaches. my worry is i live with a 6 month old baby that is breastfeeding and my 72 year old grandmother. i'm worried that if i'm positive for covid they could be?

COVID: Your symptoms are related to COVID, and if you are infected the rest of your family can be too. You can get a test just to make sure. If you can't get tested the best thing to do is separate yourself from the rest of your family for a couple of weeks, and go to the hospital if you or any of your family members have difficulty breathing or a fever that won't go away.

Some basics: The loss of smell/taste & headaches are all listed as common symptoms of covid but these also are present in other conditions. There is no confirmation it passes to infants through BM though the close contact involved would usually do so. Infants seem to have minimal risk while the 72 yo would be at higher risk. I would contact your doc & get tested.
