OCD: In my opinion it is always best to stick with a very low dose of an SSRI drug like citalopram. I would use 5-10 mg and then add 5-htp 150 mg at bedtime. 5-htp actually increases serotonin levels whereas citalopram does not. It is a re-uptake inhibitor that magnifies the serotonin that is present, even when the levels are low.
